Extreme Expose It! Totally Cute Kitties
By · Comments
If you liked the arcade classic Qix ‘81 where you moved a diamond shaped object around the rectangle screen to capture an area and you love Kitties then you are going to love Extreme Expose It! Totally Cute Kitties by Oxegen Entertainment. The game uses the same principle as Qix did. You command an object that you most maneuver up, down, right or left to claim areas of the play-field, thus revealing the image behind it. But be careful there are enemies that are lurking around and if they bounce into one of the lines you are trying to create then you will lose a life.
This game is rather fun and it has some adorable cat pics that are awarded to you when you complete a board. This is a good game to pass the time and if you love cats then I recommend you should try it.

iShark

It’s not just another day at the beach anymore. iShark by Ahmet T. S. Dündaris an action packed game where you control a hungry shark in a 2D underwater world. You control the shark by making finger movements on the screen. The shark can tear apart people that are just swimming, sink ships, jump out of the water to eat birds or take out a helicopter. iShark is a very addictive and fun game. But of course it wouldn’t be a game if you didn’t have any bosses to defeat.
There are different levels of bosses that you must defeat to continue on, so you are not the only feared creature under the sea.
I really enjoyed this game and found it quite fun. Even though this isn’t the most graphics enriched game out there the gameplay is very addictive. There’s a feature that you can turn on that allows you to draw a line for the shark to follow. I found this quite entertaining making the shark do loops underwater and then eat a swimmer.
The game receives 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend it to anyone and for only .99 cents you can’t go wrong especially when they plan on continually updating the app with new bosses and added features.

Brain App: Math
By · Comments
I love anything that helps you learn and makes you smarter. Brain App: Math by Chris Mayer is just that, an app that’s a fun game that is actually help you increase your brain activity.
Brain App: Math gives you three different games to play. Speed Math, where you try to solve as many random math equations you can before time runs out. Another game mode is called Balloon Burst. The purpose of this game is to see how many times you can pop three balloons in the correct numerical order. And of course something that the Blackjack dealer can use a Card Count game where you try to see how many times you can count three random cards.
I really like this game and I think it is really addicting. I’m going to give it 4 stars out of 5 and I recommend it to anyone that likes to test your math skills. I don’t know if there was any neurological testing done to see if you actually do become smarter, but this game will definitely test you math skills.

Fastest 100

Check out this little fun app. Fastest 100 by Gud4Nuthin Games is a game that will put your fingers to the test. You are competing in a 100 meter dash but instead of running on your feet you are using your fingers to get to the finish line before the iPhone does. As you run with your fingers you better not slow down because the iPhone is fast and will beat you.
This game is addictive and I found it fun. The developer does mention that your fingers will get a workout and may build muscle. I did find this true, but I also recommend not to do this for prolonged intervals as you may strain yourself.
You can compete against your friends and family by signing up for Openfient. But the game does like a score board for local scores.
My overall review for the app is 3 out of 5 stars is my review score for this app. I would like to see more options and game modes. But for a free app this is worth a try.

Unit Conversion – Converter and Calculator
By · Comments
Here’s another app by Planet Blue Art and it is called Unit Conversion. OK, I know what you are going to say… “Not another converter app”, well this one is pretty good and I recommend that you try it out. Unit Conversion has a wealth of conversions that you can use. The user interface is setup nice and is easy to use. All of the categories are based on images, so you can find what you are looking for quickly.
You will also find that the converter is also a calculator. So now you have two tools in one app. And of course it passed my test, I went straight for the computer conversion to make sure it was using 1,024 and not 1,000 as engineering notation would do.
I would like to see less zero’s indicated in selections. But that is no big problem, just a preference. Anyway Unit Conversion will get 4 stars out of 5 on this review. The app simply does what it is suppose to do and it is user friendly.

DeskWhiz

We have another app developed by Numlock Solutions Co. and it is called DeskWhiz. DeskWhiz is an app that takes your pictures, your music, and a handy clock and throws it all together. I think of this app as a type of digital picture frame that plays music, but with the added feature of a digital clock. The app features the display to be either in portrait or landscape.
Basically with this app you can sit it on your desk and have your favorite memories play while listening to some music. Believe me it can be boring sitting behind a desk for 8 hours a day. This app will definitely help ease the pain and lighten your mood.
I found it hard to keep the iPhone in a standing position, so if you are going to use this on your desk you might want to think about getting some sort of dock for your phone or iPod Touch. But that doesn’t take away from the app, it functions and does exactly what it is suppose to do.

Are you looking to manage your day to day spending. Check out WalletWiz by Numlock Solutions Co.. WalletWiz is a budget program that allows you to track what you are spending each day. It features a calendar view which allows you to view what you have spent on a given day. You can set up categories to track your spending even more. Sometimes just putting down a default category can make you lose track of how you are spending your money. With WalletWiz you can put this behind you and see where the green is going.
I used WalletWiz to keep track of how much money I was spending for lunch. I gave myself a budget of $30.00 and I tried to note everything I spent out of that money.
I found the application pretty handy. In fact most of the time I just lose the receipts and forget that I even spent money at all. This solves that problem, because I’ve logged the information I need in the app.
Some other features for WalletWiz is the ability to enter earned money as well. The ability to export data so you can view and graph is available. And of course if you want to keep your information from wandering eyes there is a pass code lock feature as well.
If you want to try WalletWiz before you buy they offer a Lite version that you can download for free.

Hire Me!

Ok, now this is a great idea. Hire Me! by Shawn Burns is an app designed to coach you through interviewing. Due to the recent decline of the economy and the increasing job lost this app may be idea to have on your phone.
The app uses the concept of flash cards with random common interview questions. This will prep you pretty much for any interview. Practice makes perfect and this app will give you the practice you need to succeed.
Another nice feature of this app is the option to record yourself while you are answering the questions. This is very usefull, in fact it is a proven technique used to train people for interviewing. You should always critique yourself and practice interviewing before doing the real thing.
Hey can you tie a tie or do you use clip ons? Well this app also includes videos showing you the most famouse knots for any tie wearer. The Full Windsor, the Half Windsor and of course the Four in Hand.
And if you need some soothing music to calm you down before going into a real interview, the app has several different Internet radio channels you can listen to.
This app will get 5 out of 5 stars for it’s useability and its purpose.

Doodle Blitz
By · Comments
Doodle Blitz by Ivan Mackintosh is a game that takes place in the 1940’s during World War 2. A plane flys across the screen, and your job is to drop bombs from that plane to destroy buildings. After each bombing run the plane will get lower and closer to the buildings below. You have to destroy all buildings before you crash into them. If you accomplish this you will then move on to another challenging mission.
The game features graphics and gameplay that is sort of like looking at a pad of paper with doodles. This probably is the reason it is called “Doodle Blitz” . But the way it is set up actually creates a fun atmosphere and gameplay.
The game has different modes that can enhance gameplay so you are not doing the same thing over and over again. The different gameplay modes include: Standard, Fast (Turbo gameplay), Behind clouds, Machine Gun, and Double Bomb.
There is no save feature available currently. So if you die or you have to take that important call you will start all the way back over at the beginning. You may want to think of this game as arcade style but without the option to insert another quarter to continue.
I was going to give this game a 4 star rating, but after relizing there was no continuation or save feature I had to take half a star back. Of course this does not mean this game is not worthwhile. It is fun and addicting, and I am sure we will see some save feature in the future.

Here’s an interesting concept. Think of a navigation system for a car then think if you could have this type of look for you iPhone3GS and you will get Navigation 3DX by
